A) New Year’s Eve
At noon of the New Year’s Eve, people of Alexandroupolis are saying goodbye to the previous year and preparing for the arrival of the new year with a festive way: Professionals from the commercial community are organizing in front of their shops the co-called ‘tsiknismata’ which include open air barbeque with all kinds of meats and plenty of wine. All these are offered free of charge to passing-by people with the accompaniment of local traditional music. The result is a major outdoor festivity with good food, wine and dancing at the streets of Alexandroupolis.

B) Carnival Sunday 
At the last Sunday before the ‘Clear Monday’ we invite you to visit the towns of Xanthi and Soufli and enjoy the carnival parades with loud music, dancing and lots of fun for all the people.
